This month my church (and our student ministry) are partnering with Go International for their Orphan for a Night event.
On Friday, September 24 from 9:00 PM-7:00 AM people all over the United States will be giving up their bed for a cardboard box. The purpose is to help raise awareness for the approximately 163 million orphans who go to sleep every night without food in their bellies, a roof over their head or a bed to lay on.
I, along with everyone else that pledges to be an orphan for a night, will raise $100 to help orphans all around the world. The money raised will be used by Go International for different orphan projects (educating, clothing, feeding, etc) and go towards international adoptions.
